Discover Scuba Diving
Let’s get you started with scuba diving! The Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) is the perfect activity for anyone who’d like to try diving and find out what it feels like to be a scuba diver.
You start with a short eLearning at home to gain some basic understanding of scuba diving. Once you’re done with the online portion, you will go into the ocean to take your first breath underwater. After you’ve successfully demonstrated some skills, your instructor will take you out to the reef for your first ever dive!

Scuba Diver
Becoming a PADI Scuba Diver means you’ve completed the first part of the PADI Open Water Diver course, and it allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 12m/40ft under the supervision of a dive professional.
- Minimum Age: 10 (Junior Scuba Diver for ages 10 to 14)
- Number of Dives: 2
- Approximate Time: 2.5 days
Open Water Diver (after eLearning)
The PADI Open Water Diver is the first certification level to becoming an independent scuba diver. It allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 18m/60ft together with a buddy.
After you’ve completed the eLearning independently, you will start the practical part of the PADI Open Water Diver course with one of our highly trained PADI Instructors. You begin with two confined water sessions and finish up by completing the four open water dives. Your instructor will guide you to become a certified diver in three days.

Open Water Diver (referral)
Start your PADI Open Water Diver course at your local dive shop and finish it in the tropical waters of Bonaire. By doing the confined water sessions before heading to Bonaire, you save some of your precious vacation time. It’s the ideal choice if you want to become a certified diver, but don’t have a lot of time on Bonaire.
- Minimum Age: 10
- Number of Dives: 4
- Approximate Time: 2 days
- Prerequisites: Completion of all classroom and confined water work within the past year with a PADI instructor (with copies of all referral paperwork.)
Scuba Diver to Open Water Diver (upgrade)
Are you a certified PADI Scuba Diver ready to take the next step to becoming a PADI Open Water Diver? Great! You can level up by completing some extra theory, an exam, two confined water sessions and two open water dives.

- Number of Dives: 2
- Approximate Time: 1.5-2 days
- Prerequisites: PADI Scuba Diver Certification
Diving activities for kids
Supplied Air Snorkeling for Youth (SASY)
This activity is the perfect way for your young child to explore the underwater world. With the Supplied Air Snorkeling for Youth program (SASY) your child will breathe through a regulator attached to a mini tank which allows them to feel like a real scuba diver! Our patient dive instructors are there to safely guide them around in the shallows of our house reef to show them the mesmerizing marine life.

- Approximate Time: 2 hours
Bubblemaker
The Bubblemaker activity is for children eight years and up who’d like to explore the underwater world a little differently than just by snorkeling. They will get the chance to have a real diving experience led by one of our experienced instructors.
Bubblemakers will go to a maximum depth of 2m/6ft with real scuba diving equipment suitable for children.
