Advanced Open Water Diver
It’s time to level up your diving skills with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course! If you wish to dive deeper, refine your navigation skills, and become an all round better diver, this is the course for you.
After completing the theory, you will go for five Adventure Dives spread over two days. The Deep Dive to 30m/100ft and the Underwater Navigation are mandatory, while for the remaining three dives, you have the option to choose from the following Adventure Dives: Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night, Underwater Naturalist, Fish ID, Search & Recovery, Wreck, and Photography.

Adventure Diver
With the Adventure Diver course, you’ll get introduced to different subjects of diving by completing three adventure dives. You can choose between a range of subjects such as Peak Performance Buoyancy, Fish ID, Wreck, and much more.

Rescue Diver
This course will make anyone a better diver for themselves as well as for their dive friends. In the PADI Rescue Diver course you learn what to do in different situations from a minor issue to full on a diving emergency. This course will prepare you for multiple situations that can occur when you’re a diver.

Emergency First Response (EFR)
Emergency First Response (CPR & Secondary Care) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. With a combination of theory, practical instruction, and scenarios, you’ll become confident in how to respond in emergency situations.

Digital Underwater Photography

Enriched air nitrox

Fish ID

Full Face Mask and Underwater Communication – Combo

Lionfish Hunter (DFB)
In this course you learn how to remove lionfish from the reef with a special device called an ELF (Eliminate Lionfish tool). Lionfish are an invasive species in the Caribbean because they did not naturally occur in this ecosystem, have no natural predators, they reproduce rapidly, and they prey on native fish and coral reefs The specialty has been developed by Dive Friends Bonaire.
You can opt to do one of the two dives as a boat dive, where you’ll go to Klein Bonaire by boat to hunt lionfish. This option needs a minimum of two students.

Reef Renewal Diver Distinctive Specialty

Help restore Bonaire’s reefs and become a Reef Renewal Diver! This distinctive specialty course is perfect for divers ready to learn coral gardening techniques and become certified Reef Renewal volunteers.
As a Reef Renewal Diver, you’ll take part in on-land lessons that introduce you to coral nursery maintenance and coral propagation. You’ll then put this knowledge to work in the water, where you’ll help maintain coral nurseries, improve your buoyancy skills, and propagate new corals to be outplanted onto the reef. By the end of the course, you’ll be part of Reef Renewal Foundation Bonaire’s network of volunteers, with the option to join in future volunteer dives whenever you return to Bonaire.

Sea Turtle Conservation (DFB)
In cooperation with Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire, Dive Friends Bonaire has created a PADI Distinctive Specialty that is unique in the world. During the two-dive specialty, you will learn more about Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire, sea turtle behavior, nesting, identifying characteristics of the different species, threats to sea turtles and their habitats, and how to help sea turtle conservation efforts.
